DeMar DeRozan has signed a three-year, $85 million contract with the Chicago Bulls, according to a person familiar with the situation. The contract is fully guaranteed, with an average annual salary of $28.3 million. The deal was finalized as part of a sign-and-trade agreement with the San Antonio Spurs.
DeRozan is entering the final year of his previous three-year contract with the Spurs, which he signed in August 2021. That contract was worth $81.9 million, with an average annual salary of $27.3 million.
The Bulls acquired DeRozan in the sign-and-trade, sending Thaddeus Young, Alfonzo McKinnie, and a top-10 protected 2025 first-round pick to the Spurs. The Bulls also received a 2023 second-round pick from San Antonio.
