Yastrzemski, Conforto Home Runs Power Giants Past Orioles 5-3

Giants Extend Win Streak to Five Games

Mike Yastrzemski and Michael Conforto homered to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 5-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday afternoon at Oracle Park.

The Giants have now won five straight games and are 12-5 in their last 17 games. The Orioles have lost seven of their last nine games and are now 20-40 this season.

Yastrzemski's solo home run in the second inning gave the Giants an early 1-0 lead. Conforto's two-run homer in the fourth inning extended the lead to 3-0.

But the Giants regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI single by Austin Slater. Yastrzemski added an insurance run with an RBI single in the sixth inning.

Reliever John Brebbia (1-1) earned the win by pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Closer Camilo Doval pitched the ninth inning to earn his 11th save of the season.

Orioles starter Jordan Lyles (5-6) took the loss. He allowed five runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four batters and walked two.

Yastrzemski and Conforto Lead Giants Offense

Yastrzemski and Conforto were the offensive stars for the Giants on Saturday. Yastrzemski finished the game 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Conforto was 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.
